While hardware acceleration can improve video playback performance, it can also cause issues when using AirPlay. In some cases, the hardware acceleration can interfere with the AirPlay stream and cause the video to freeze or become glitchy. Disabling hardware acceleration can help to resolve these issues and allow you to view videos using AirPlay without any problems.

Here are the steps to disable hardware acceleration in macOS:

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Navigate to your settings.

3. Go to System on the sidebar

4. Turn off "Use hardware acceleration..." and relaunch.

After disabling hardware acceleration, you should be able to view videos using AirPlay without any issues. If you still face any problems, you can try restarting your Mac and your AppleTV to see if that resolves the issue. If not, please do let us know!
